Zermatt with Obsidian 2020

Charalambos Artemis is a Cypriot visual artist based in Geneva, Switzerland. Working across photography, found objects, and installation, his practice examines how image-making technologies have historically served as instruments of possession, surveillance, and control. Landscape, materiality, and the politics of evidence run through his work as persistent concerns: how truth is constructed from fragments, how territories and species are named and claimed, and what resists legibility within systems designed to render everything visible. Born in divided Cyprus, he approaches these questions from a position where the unresolved is not a condition to be overcome but a reality to be inhabited.
